Readings

I've been meaning to do a post about what I'm reading for a while, but other important things have always come up! So now, I'll do the post that has been in the back of my mind for a long time!

Last week, Mom took Joelle and I to the library. If you want to get in and out of the library fast, DON'T TAKE ME WITH YOU! Haha! I could spend a long time in there! Then, maybe two weeks ago, Mom took Joelle, Jenny and I to the Staunton library. They have a larger selection. So, now I need to keep track and NOT mix up my books from TWO different libraries!

1. (Ooh! My favorite!) The Complete Tales of Winnie-the-Pooh.
Written by: A.A. Milne
Rating: In the process of reading (Reading it with Joelle. One chapter every night!)

2. Starring Prima! The mouse of the Ballet Jolie! And Rosalie, my Rosalie! The tale of a duckling.
Written by: Jacquelyn Mitchard
Rating: Haven't read yet.

3. Out if site, Out of mind. And Two heads are better than one (Abby Hayes series)
Written by: Anne Mazer
Rating: probably a 7 out of 10. Even though these books were meant for 'younger' kids, I still think they're fun to read!

(Sorry about the bad quality in the pictures!)

4. Lily Robbins: MD (Medical Dabbler) (Lily Robbins series)
Written by: Nancy Rue
Rating: I think I've read this one before. Oh well. I give it an 8!

5. James and the Giant Peach, The Twit, and The BFG (Big Friendly Giant)
Written by: Roald Dahl
Rating: I haven't read these yet. As you can see, I'm overloaded with books!

6. Kathleen's Enduring Faith (The Life of Faith series)
Written by: Tracy Leininger Craven
Rating: Ha, haven't read it yet. Don't worry! I'll get to it! I still have a week 'til I have to return it!

7. The Misfit, The Ally, The Threat (The Charleston Years series), The Rebel, The Theif (The Williamsburg Years series) and The Discovery (The Sante Fe Years series. Whew!)
Written by: Nancy Rue
Rating: In the process of reading The Charleston Years book number 1, The Misfit. So far, good book! I might need to renew these a couple of times to finish them all!

8. Ruby Holler
Written by: Sharon Creech
Rating: What I've read on the back sounds good :)

9. Trouble at the Treasury
Written by: Ron Roy
Rating: When I saw who it was written by, I wanted to read it. I like to read his A-Z mysteries (I'm a mystery kind of gal! Nancy Drew, Christian Heritage Series, Ron Roy books...). But otherwise, nope, not there yet!

10. The Runaway Dolls
Written by: Ann Martin
Rating: 10, 10, 10! Yes! I love this book! Ann Martin is possibly my favorite author! The Runaway Dolls (The third book. First one: The Doll People. Second one: Meanest Doll in the World.) I SO hope she makes another one!

Favorite books by Ann Martin:

1. The Doll People
2. The Meanest Doll in the World
3. The Runaway Dolls
4. The Main Street series
5. And surprisingly, I've never read the Babysitter club. I've just never had an interest in it, even though everyone tells me they're really good!

Favorite books by Lori Wick (My possible second favorite author!)

1. Working on The Yellow Rose Trilogy (Read the first one and starting on the second one!)
2. The English Garden series (The first series I ever read from her. I really liked them!)
3. The Tucker Mills Trilogy (Very good!)
4. Sophie's Heart
5. The Princess
6. Bamboo and Lace
7. Every Storm
8. And read part of Beyond the Picket Fence (And Other Short Stories)

So now you know what I've been reading! Good night!

This was fun to read, and you will love having this list in the years to come. :)

I, too, have been thinking about doing a "what I'm reading" post, but haven't gotten around to it. Maybe this week? Or maybe not? :)

Nice list.

I'm a reader myself and cherish fond memories of going to our public library and checking out practically the WHOLE SERIES of Nancy Drew books and reading them before the three weeks was up.

Keep up the reading--it'll take you places! ;-)

Those all look like good books! I'll have to read them, sometime! I actually have read Ruby Holler, and it is REALLY good! You will love it! Thanks for sharing!
