The Lord blesses his people with peace.

~ Psalm 29:11

Today was SO calm and peaceful! The Lord knew that today would make me happy! It started out bright and sunny and it is ending with a thunderstorm! By the way, happy Sunday! Hope everyone had a great day of rest! I don't know if you'd call our day a day of real rest, but it was peaceful (Until the end of the day when all of us were tired and making jokes in the van :)!

So we started out by going to church in the morning. I know this will sound horrible, but it was just too nice a day to be sitting in church! I was getting antsy in the pew and was ready to go!!! We finally got home and Mom got out some leftover's from a meal and we all ate. Afterwards I changed into shorts and a tee shirt and sat out in the sun (Hoping to get tan, but it was almost too hot to be outside. I can't make up my mind can I?). After that Joelle was really excited about going on this trip to the lake that no one even knew about, but we all piled in the van with some frozen bread and headed off to the lake anyway! None of my pictures of the ducks are any good, so I'll just post some of the swans.

The swans were all really nice until...

AHHH! This swan kept on staring at me! It was making a low kind of growling noise and it wouldn't stop staring at me! Well I got a little creeped out by this guys antics so I backed away and went on to other parts of the lake... CREEPY!!!

Then we went to my grandma and grandpa's house to visit. We visited for maybe an hour and a half. We were all really hungry by 6:30 (When we left) and stopped by McDonald's for a burger (Well, more like 6, because try splitting one burger with 6 people...) and fries. We were going for a 'Sunday afternoon drive' and stopped by a house some people from our church were building. On the way home, we say a TURTLE!

Actually, he looks more like a... like a... oh I don't know, something other than a turtle! What with his tail and all. Do turtles have tails? Shows how much I know about turtles... DIDDLY! There was nobody around so we (Hehe :) stopped the van and we all took pictures! We probably looked like tourists even though we live there :) Then a car came and we had to remember to act like a normal family.

Pretty soon we arrived home with a van full of giggly girls. Joelle got a monkey from our aunt and he's the kind with magnets in his hands and feet. We have metal corners in our house, so we were sticking him to walls and then... to the vents :)

Poor monkey :) (Have you noticed how many smiley faces I've used in this post? :)

So that was our day! Now it's started to thunder, but who knows how long it will last? Only God knows.

Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!

Praise him with trumpet sound;
praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!

Simple Sunday - Baby Animals

#1

#2#3

#4

~ thankful for all the little baby animals, all of them are so cute! Our neighbor, Jewel, let us come up this afternoon to see her new baby animals! Even though it was threatening rain, it didn't rain and I got some good pictures :)

#1: This is Jewel's newest baby goat! I don't believe she named it yet (He? She? IT???).
#2: Awww! The tiny little kittens and their mother! This was my favorite part because Jewel is giving them away and I am trying to convince Dad to let me have one :) I think it's working, too!!! The one I want is the one you can see best. He's white with a black stripe down his back. He looks like a skunk!
#3: The kittens mother, Mousy, after Mussolini! I think he looks more like Hitler...
#4: All of the kittens and their mother.

I think everyone knows I want a dog, but they are a lot of work! You have to train them, they bark, are messy, and other stuff too. And besides, Dad said no. So that ideas out :) So if I can't have a dog, I might as well settle for a kitty! Mom's on my side too :) It looks like I might get a kitten! Yay! Now I'll have something else to photograph :) Wait a minute, I'd better not get my hopes up too high. I can still hope though :) I'll give you more info later. Have a great Sunday!!!

And another thing: this morning Mom was making eggs for breakfast and when she cracked open the eggs this is what she found:

SIX double yokers (Did I spell that right???)! We got 12 yokes out of it! So far, all of the eggs out of the carton have been double yokers! I think we got them from Davene, but I'm not sure. I just thought it was cool...

Simple Sunday - Joelle's Shoes

~Yes, today I have a weird one, but whenever I see Joelle's high-top shoes, I smile! I really wish they made shoes like these in my size :) Today's post is short, but this is my Simple Sunday!

Simple Sunday - Wind Chimes

~ thankful for the beautiful sounding wind chimes outside. Today is very warm considering that it is February 1. There is also a light breeze which makes me think even MORE about summer! In the Summertime, when our windows are open at night, we can hear the wind chimes being tossed about in the breeze. It's sounds like this that make me oh-so very happy!

Simple Sunday - Heat

~ Ah! If there was NO heat in this place, well, I would FREEZE! A couple of nights ago, it was below zero. BELOW! So yes, those nights (As well as the days :) I am VERY thankful for our heat. My main source of heat comes from the fireplace downstairs. But I definitely find other ways to keep myself warm on cold days! At night, I have 3 blankets piled on top of my comforter as well a rice bag at my feet. It's amazing what huge amount of warmth that little bag gives off! Ah! I hope everyone else in blogland (Who is also experiencing this cold weather!) is warm and cozy too!

Simple Sunday - Piano

~thankful for the beautiful piano that sits in our living room. I play it just about every day. This old piano has heard me play many different songs! I had a piano teacher for a while, but then I started school and quit. Now I just play off and on. My cousin has a subscription to Music Notes and she teaches me how to play the songs she gets. So I don't really play in a specific level, although when I stopped taking lessons I was in level 3 (I think). The latest song Michelle taught me was Für Elise. I play it a lot! Maybe too much... My family would know about that!

This is it!

I FINALLY, and I mean FINALLY, found a good picture for my header that I liked, imagine that! Here it is:

I was getting a little frustrated about the whole thing, so I just typed in (On Google) "Blogger Headers". Now, normally that isn't such a good idea because you never know what might show up on Google Images. This time, however, I wasn't thinking about that. I'm glad I wasn't! It showed up with something like "45 greatest free header photos" or something like that. The free part really stood out to me :) You can click here for the link. I really like this site! I also like The Cutest Blog On The Block (dot com). That's where I got my background. I love that too!

So now that I have a new header photo, I can move onto more important things. Such as Kate's new Adobe Photoshop! Yeah! Hopefully, after she plays with it a little bit, she'll let me play with it! I'll tell you how that goes once I get ahold of it!

Don't forget to leave a comment! I always love to hear from you! Good-night!

Colorful Crayons!

I'm trying to find a new header picture (Because I've had mine for OVER a week! Time for a new one!). I'm having absolutely no luck. I looked up pictures of cats, dogs, sunsets, sunrises, silhouettes, colorful things, EVERYTHING! While I was wondering what I was going to do, I saw them: Crayons that had never been used! I lined them all in a row (I color co-ordinated them :) and took a couple pictures:

I got this photo from Morning Has Broken.

I showed dad this photo because I really liked the colors (And the cupcakes look nice too :) and the background. The whole thing just matched! The sprinkles go with the background dots and colorful lines, while the cupcakes are overflowing with delicious icing goodness! Dad was telling me that the reason I liked it so much, was because I'm a colorful kind of person! I don't like dull colors. My favorite colors are green and purple, I have bright green polka-dot shoes, my volleyball is red and white, my room is the color blue, my bedspread is bright orange, and my blanket is hot pink! I guess dad was right when he said I liked bright colors!

I didn't find any 'That's the one!' crayon pictures, so I'll keep searching for that 'perfect header' photo, but for now, I'll stick with the roller coaster!
